FC Gold Coast™ coach leading a junior soccer academy training session on the Gold Coast

Soccer Academy Gold Coast

Gold Coast football and soccer academy.

A serious junior development environment for players who want to improve. Structured football and futsal coaching, clear development stages, player progress and coaches who know what your child is working towards.

Better Players. Better Teammates. Better People. Beginners, developing players and experienced club players are placed into the environment that gives them the right level of challenge.

A complete development environment

What families should expect from a Gold Coast soccer academy

The academy is built around what actually moves a player forward: purposeful coaching, enough quality touches, decisions under pressure, clear feedback and a pathway for what comes next.

Technical quality

First touch, ball mastery, passing, receiving, dribbling, finishing and position-relevant actions.

Game intelligence

Scanning, movement, space, timing and better decisions before and after receiving the ball.

Football + futsal

Outdoor football and tight-space futsal development are connected rather than treated as separate worlds.

Visible progress

Families get clearer goals, coaching feedback and a player-development pathway instead of simply attending sessions.

Not just more training

Every session needs a reason

More hours do not automatically create a better footballer. FC Gold Coast™ uses academy, private training, futsal and competition preparation to solve specific development needs. For some families this sits alongside club football. For others, the academy is the place they begin building their child's football pathway.

Team • Trust • Safe

What Team, Trust and Safe mean at the academy

Development without fear of mistakes. Here is what that looks like across an ordinary training week.

Team

Your child will be welcomed

  • Players are placed into age-appropriate groups so sessions are pitched at the right level.
  • Newer players train alongside experienced club players, and both are looked after.
  • Coaches encourage children to support each other, so no one is singled out.

Trust

You will know what is happening

  • Dates, times, venue and what to bring are confirmed in writing before a program starts.
  • One place to ask a question and get a straight answer.
  • Changes to timing, venue or weather are passed on as soon as we know.

Safe

Safety comes before football

  • Coaches must satisfy applicable Blue Card or Working With Children requirements before undertaking relevant coaching duties.
  • Published safeguarding policy, code of conduct and complaints process.
  • Humiliation, intimidation and bullying are not accepted from anyone, including adults.

Plan the whole week

Balance school, club and academy football

Use one parent plan for club sessions, school sport, academy development, matches, travel, sleep and recovery. Make every additional session solve a clear player need.

Gold Coast academy questions

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers for parents comparing soccer academies, football academies and player-development options on the Gold Coast.

What is the FC Gold Coast soccer academy?

FC Gold Coast™ is a structured junior football and soccer academy built around weekly player development, clear coaching standards, age-appropriate groups and measurable progress. Players develop technique, scanning, decision making, confidence, game understanding and character across football and futsal environments.

What ages does the Gold Coast football academy train?

The academy is organised across Foundation, Development, Performance and Advanced stages. Age bands are a guide rather than a hard rule because players are placed according to their current development needs as well as age and experience.

Can beginners join the academy?

Yes. FC Gold Coast™ develops beginners, developing players and experienced club players. The important part is placing each child in an environment where the level, coaching and challenge are appropriate for them.

Is FC Gold Coast only extra training for club players?

No. Families can use FC Gold Coast™ as a serious player-development environment in its own right. Some players also play club football for weekly competition, while others begin with academy or private training before deciding on their next pathway.

Does the academy include futsal?

Yes. Football and futsal are connected within the FC Gold Coast™ development model. Futsal gives players more touches, tighter spaces and faster decisions, while outdoor football develops the actions and understanding needed in the larger game.

How much does FC Gold Coast academy training cost?

Weekly Development is $37 per week for one session (Monday or Wednesday). Accelerated Development is $59 per week for both days. Academy sessions run Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:45–4:45, from Monday 5 October 2026 at Greenheart Robina Parklands, Stadium Drive, Robina. Enquire at byron@fcgoldcoast.com.
